Outfest, the world’s foremost LGBT Film Festival, will honor Barry Sandler with a screening of The Mirror Crack’d.

Sandler wrote the screenplay based on the novel by Agatha Christie. The 1980 comedy/mystery stars Elizabeth Taylor in her final starring role, along with Rock Hudson, Kim Novak, Tony Curtis, Angela Lansbury and Geraldine Chaplin.

The January 4 screening, sponsored by Showtime Networks, is part of the Outfest West Hollywood Series, a monthly program featuring films and discussions. Following the screening, Sandler will participate in Q&A with the audience.

Tickets are available through the Outfest website.

Barry Sandler is an associate professor of film in UCF’s School of Visual Arts and Design. Sandler has written screenplays for numerous motion pictures, including Crimes of Passion (1984) which was recently restored in 2K for release on Blu-Ray.
