Most people dream. I’m not talking about daydreaming, or inspirational thoughts. I’m talking about the stories that are written when one is asleep; the creation of histories, realities and falsehoods in one’s mind. But what are these dream images conveying? Are they a way the body handles complex emotions? To me, they often seem like parts of a horror movie. I lie in this dream ‘void’, at times unable to tell if I’m asleep or awake, seeking the signs that are meant to lead me back to where my mind can rest.

Bewitched by my dreams since childhood, I’ve kept a journal to record those visions that haunt me. Those dreams that always woke me. I still cannot shake them. They embed themselves in the catalog of my memories.

These moments most distressing are the subject of my photographs.
