The human mind is radically free. Each one of us has a different perspective, even when speaking about a shared experience. Even though no two minds are alike, we all tend to fixate on the same big questions. What makes up reality? What is the core of our existence? It could be physical substances that bond and react to one another, or it could be some sort of invisible essence that can only be described as magic.

Plato’s theory of “The Form” depicts a reality that is outside our conscious world. According to Plato, “The Form“ is the truest substance. The physical objects we see are mere copies. My photographic series “The Form” is an illustration of what this invisible quality might look like in our conscious world. I choose light as a representation of The Form because light is a symbol of higher understanding.
