Children often remind us that they exist in an age in which we will never return to. The photographs of these children are not just typical portraits. They are windows to the soul of an age where innocence and youthful creativity is seemingly out of our reach.

I have the pleasure of teaching art classes at the Daytona Beach Boys and Girls Club. I’ve made extraordinary connections with the children that attend. They allow me to view their creative minds at content, outside of the lives they leave behind the doors of the club. I find a self-reflection through these children, as I too face the world, hoping for an open embrace to find a place to fit in as I make my way after graduation.
