My portfolio tells the story of love between same sex couples and the negative public reactions to their love for each other. These negative reactions are challenges that I, as a married lesbian, face every day. The exclusion and prejudice that transgendered, homosexual, and bisexuals face everyday damages all of us inside and out. A person's homosexual orientation shouldn't be seen as something strange and unacceptable; something to protest against or condemn. It should be embraced as part of the rich diversity of life.

As you can see from my images, homosexuals don't treat each other any differently than straight couples. So why are we so negatively regarded? Love is a language, whether spoken by gay or straight, which binds all people together. The rainbow, which is a symbol of God's love for all of us and one person's love for another, comes in all colors.
