In this work I illustrate the personal way in which I relate to horses. When I am in the company of a horse, surrounded and secluded by its magnificence, I am allowed to be free. The rest of the world slips away, it is just me and the horse and I am at peace.

Through close up photographs, I explore the features that often go undiscovered, the smoothness of its shiny coat, the paintbrush texture of its mane and tail, and the little wrinkles along its nostrils. When removed from their natural world, these details bring new vision to the composition of a horse.
