My work explores the clashing roles that women inadvertently take on: masculine and feminine. Women have the ability to simultaneously identify with being a passive object and an active voyeur of themselves and their own sex. I chose to embed fetishistic images of a faceless female in resin casts, focusing on specific parts of her body. The representations are confined inside three-dimensional pieces, commenting on the issue of women inherently trapping themselves by allowing their physical image to determine their self-worth.
