This page of information is for individuals or groups looking to use the Visual Arts Building for UCF associated events.
The VAB (51) is home to several School of Visual Arts and Design degree programs, fine art and digital media classrooms and studios, the UCF Art Gallery, UCF’s largest classroom and several University wide classrooms.
The VAB is open from 7:30 a.m. until 12:00 a.m.
The VAB is closed for football games and University holidays.
The Digital Media and Fine Art classrooms, labs and studios are not available for reservation or usage outside their intended functions. These spaces are reserved for either official assigned classes or studio time for students to complete assignments.
If you are an individual or vendor not associated with UCF, your flyer must be approved by the front office staff and/or the building manager before posting any flyer in the VAB as per UCF regulation 4.010.
There are specific spaces (three only) in the Visual Arts Building for posting flyers.
Please only use push pins-no tape or staples. We ask that you have the flyers removed immediately after your event. Failure to do so will adversely impact future requests. Please note there are other boards in the building but they are reserved for course use. Any non-course posting may be immediately removed from these boards. Posting on the windows and doors of the building is not allowed.
Requests to use any interior space must inform the Building Manager, Facilities Coordinator, UCF Police and complete a SAFE Form.
For approval please visit Jason Burrell at VAB 117.
UCF Student Government Association club or group who would like to use or hold an event in one of the VAB’s University wide classrooms, must secure a reservation through Classroom Reservations:
These rooms include: VAB 107, 109, 111, 113, 132 and 217.
The control room and associated equipment in the back of VAB 132 is not available for non-academic use. Access to the control panel at the teacher¹s podium is available. From there, the audio levels and several programmed lighting options can be adjusted. Please make arrangements to provide any special exhibition needs on your own according to the SAFE Form guidelines.
Due to liability issues, SVAD will not be able to approve large production filming in the Visual Arts Building or on areas outside the building.
If you are interested in holding a UCF associated event near the breezeway of the VAB, you must inform the Building Manager, Facilities Coordinator, and UCF Police.
Please complete the SAFE policies:
