Hadi Abbas joined the faculty at UCF's Art Department in 1990, specializing in Ceramics and Sculpture. He teaches beginning and advanced ceramics. Prior to coming to UCF, he taught at Wichita State University; and he was production manager for Fredrick Pottery, Louisville, KY. He has worked as a Ceramic Consultant to an Art Studio in Louisville, K.Y., and has done workshops and lectures in his field.
Mr. Abbas is well known for his extensive knowledge of glaze technology and he is an inventor of several prototype equipment related to his area of specialization. He was the recipient of Delano Magtgard, Jr.'s Grant in Wichita, KS and he has exhibited his work on an national level.
